Lush Honey Lip Scrub Review & DIY Lip Scrub Recipe!

Hey everyone, welcome back to SKLifestyle. I hope you’re doing well. Today I wanted to share with you a review on the Honey Lip Scrub from Lush Cosmetics.

I was introduced to Lush years ago by one of my friends who couldn’t get enough of their bath bombs and shower jellies. I love that the brand doesn’t test on animals, all of their ingredients are as fresh as possible, all the products are natural, handmade and their packaging is made of 100% recycled materials! I have been using their lip scrubs for a couple of years now and refuse to use any other brands because these lip scrubs are amazing. I’ve previously used the ‘Popcorn’ and the ‘Santa’s’ Lip Scrubs and both worked so well.

Honey Lip Scrub

I am currently using the ‘Honey’ Lip scruband I love it. It smells like peppermint and honey, which is a winner. I also think the little glass jar it comes in is really cute.  This lip scrub contains Caster Sugar, Organic Jojoba Oil, Vegan White Chocolate, Flavour, White Peppermint Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Honey and Alpha-Isomethylionone.

*Natural Ingredients

* Skin Friendly Synthetics

All of these ingredients are natural and safe synthetics for the skin. These lip scrubs are a great exfoliator and leave your lips with a smooth, plump and hydrated finish. These scrubs come in 20g jars and a little bit goes a long way. They are also edible, so once you’ve applied the scrub you can lick your lips after, then go ahead and apply your favourite lip balm. Something I love about these scrubs are how much moisture your lips retain after using them. These lip scrubs retail at £6.50/$8.50 and can be bought directly from the Lush website or in store.

If the lush lip scrubs are a little out of your price range or you enjoy creating your own lip scrubs, I have a simple honey & sugar lip scrub recipe for you.

DIY Honey & Sugar Lip Scrub

All you need is:

  1. One teaspoon of Honey
  2. Two teaspoons of Golden Caster sugar

  1. Mix the one teaspoon of honey into a bowl with two teaspoons of caster sugar.
  2. Massage the mixture into your lips and leave for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the lip scrub from your lips & then apply a generous layer of your favourite lip balm to your lips.

Lip Scrubs are a skin care essential for me and I recommend them to everyone I know. I hope you enjoyed this post & look forward to seeing you soon!
