Travel Series Part 6: Toronto

Hi guys, our travel series is coming to end! Our last stop was Toronto, this city is one of Canadas largest cities and it’s known for its famous landmark the CN tower which is one of the tallest buildings in the world. Whilst in Toronto we stayed with Simran’s family, which was great because they were able to show us around!

First we took a trip to Niagara Falls as it’s so close to Toronto, the drive was around 2 hours so not that long. We spent the night there and we stayed in the Embassy Suites by Hilton, this hotel was giving us some serious views of the falls. Breakfast was crazy because everyone wanted a table with a view! I never realised how much there was to do around Niagara Falls, you can take a cruise into the falls, go ziplining etc. We just walked around and admired the falls ha-ha. If you are one with nature and love flowers, they had a beautiful botanical garden just a walk away from the Falls. They have tonnes of restaurants around; they also have a tower similar to the CN tower I mean it looked like the CN tower, but it’s called the Skylon Tower and there’s a restaurant at the top which will give you more stunning views!

What we did in Toronto:

Yonge-Dundas Square
Downtown Toronto is where all the fun is at! We went to Yonge-Dundas Square it reminded me of Times Square in New York with all the shops, high buildings and billboards everything was so bright. The square is always buzzing, surrounded by shops and restaurants; we went to a rooftop Bar called Jack Astor’s where we had a direct view of the CN Tower! The food and drinks were so good!

Centre Island
On this little island you will find floral gardens, fountains, an amusement park, a pier that extends into Lake Ontario and a sandy beach. You can also rent bikes and ride around the island. The ferry ride is around 15 minutes and you get a full view of the Toronto Skyline! If you are looking to have a chilled day out then this would be a perfect place to visit.

CN Tower
This tower is so huge I was like wow but also a little nervous to go up! We went in the evening so we would make it up in time for the sunset, but we got there a little late and it was dark by the then. Within the tower there’s a restaurant inside giving you 360 view of Toronto, they have a main pod where you are able to walk around and take in the views. Theres a portion of the main pod where the floor is glass and they have an edge walk – this is where you can walk around the roof of the main pod. There is another level called the Sky pod and this is the highest observation deck in the world!

Cactus Club
If know one thing about Canadians is that they love Cactus Club! I understand why, the food and drinks are really good, and the vibe of the restaurant is just really cool. They had a rooftop bar too great at night time so vibrant! If you want to know what drinks are good, I ordered The Brazilian and Frosé!

Toronto Sign
This 3D Toronto sign is located in Nathan Phillips Square. The colours change constantly. During the winter they add an ice rink so you can skate around!

Overall our trip to America is definitely one to remember, we were fortunate enough to even have this experience. We made so many memories! But this isn’t the end of our travel series we will be back. We have learned so much from travelling and just wanted to share these experiences with you guys, we hope you enjoyed reading. See you on the next post.
