Hey everyone, Welcome back! Today’s post is going to be a review on the loreal magic loose powder! A few weeks back I watched a YouTube video of Desi Perkins getting her makeup done by Sir John – If you don’t know who that is, it’s Beyoncé’s Makeup Artist! Beyoncé!! As soon as I saw him, I was like I have to watch. His style of makeup is very much how like I doing makeup, very natural. He doesn’t use makeup to cover up your features but rather to enhance them.
I learnt some really great tips from Sir John, he uses very minimal makeup the one feature he focuses on the most is the eyes! The reason why he focuses on the eyes so much is because that’s the first thing people look at and when having conversation there’s always eye contact, so eyes for him are everything and I couldn’t agree more. But that doesn’t mean he neglects the skin. The way he applied makeup was so flawless, his techniques were so light.
When applying the concealer under the eyes he used a fluffy brush and a very light hand, he simply buffed the concealer in, the coverage was just amazing. One thing he said and this kind of changed the way I do makeup now, is about setting the under eyes. He said you should never use press powders under the eyes because its heavy on the eyes and brings them down. Now I do use press powders on myself to set my under-eyes especially when I’m doing my everyday makeup, but I tend to get a lot of creasing.
When I found out that he was using a loreal powder I immediately started searching for it, I was like if Sir John is using this powder why can’t I. So, we went out and bought one! This powder is super cheap too – only £8.99!!
When I first saw the powder, I started to question because the powder was blue! But the blue pigment actually helps to brighten the undereye area. This is now one my favourite setting powders, its super lightweight and I noticed that it instantly mattifies the undereye, it looks bright and not cakey at all.
I even use this on my clients now, works wonders, the concealer doesn’t move all day!
How to use:
I like to pour a little into the cap and use a small fluffy brush to pat this into the undereye area, you don’t want to put too much just lightly dust it on top of your concealer. You will notice a different instantly.
You can also bake with this also I haven’t actually tried baking so maybe I will try that next time.
If you are looking for an amazing/affordable setting powder, then I would definitely recommend giving this a try. I mean just look at Beyonce, she looks flawless every time. So I promise you won’t regret it! I hope you enjoyed reading.
See you on the next post!
